Other Works: Team Ops & Company Education
At Grant Street Group, being one of just two UX researchers meant my role went far beyond running studies. I led trainings on using our research tools, helping team members feel confident conducting their own studies. I also introduced new research platforms like Condens and explored ways to bring AI into our research process, making analysis faster and uncovering insights we might have otherwise missed.
Mentorship was a central part of my work. I enjoyed guiding junior researchers as they developed their skills, offering support on methods, synthesis, and translating findings into actionable recommendations. At the same time, I managed our research repository, keeping our findings organized and accessible so the team could quickly leverage insights in their work.
I also conducted internal research, including a deep dive into our company’s LMS, TalentLMS. By improving course navigation, structure, and usability, this work made our internal learning resources more intuitive and effective for everyone.
Creating opportunities for learning and growth across the team was one of the most rewarding parts of the role. I led UX workshops and “UX ambassador” presentations connecting psychology to design, wrote articles on topics like avoiding bias and maintaining accessibility standards, and developed practical “How-To” guides to help teams follow repeatable, user-centered research processes.
Through it all, my goal was to help the company think more intentionally about users while fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and accessibility. Seeing the team become more confident in research and more connected to the people we design for was incredibly fulfilling and a constant reminder of why I love my work!
