ABOUT ME
I’ve always been fascinated by how people think, feel, and make decisions, a curiosity that first led me into neuroscience labs at UNC-Chapel Hill and later into the world of UX research. I realized that while science could help me understand the brain, technology offered a way to apply that understanding at scale.
I began my UX career at Viget, where I learned to blend creative thinking with rigorous research. Next, at LexisNexis, I conducted mixed-method research on primary law products, including AI and machine learning-powered tools such as Brief Analysis in Lexis+, and earned a Product Excellence Award for my role in a major redesign initiative.
I then joined Grant Street Group, a leader in cloud-based government software for tax collection, billing, and auctions. There, I led company-wide mixed-method research projects that informed product strategy and improved usability across multiple platforms. I also mentored junior researchers and facilitated UX education programs that strengthened the organization’s research culture.
Following a company-wide restructuring, I transitioned into consulting with Bald Monk, a family-run design firm. Much of my work here is pro bono, supporting creative professionals through user research, mentorship, and portfolio guidance, helping them navigate career transitions and elevate their craft.
Today, I combine my background in psychology and neuroscience with deep expertise in research leadership, AI-informed product evaluation, and cross-functional strategy. I work with teams who believe, as I do, that the best digital experiences are those that leave people feeling understood, empowered, and supported.
